Traditional cache on Sanborn Trail in Sanborn County Park
Follow the Peterson or Sanborn Trails from the parking areas and proceed up the Sanborn Trail. About a quarter of a mile before the Sanborn Trail / San Andreas Trail junction, you will see a trail go off sharply to the left while the trail you're on appears to go straight ahead. The sharp turn to the left is the official Sanborn Trail -- the straight-through section in front of you ends up reconnecting with the Sanborn trail up a very (almost impassably) steep dirt ramp. TAKE THE SHARP TURN TO THE LEFT to bypass the steep trail junction. You'll find the cache on this bypass section of the trail.
