The original memorial cache was in a hollow tree on the other side of the creek that blew down in the big storm on the first day of summer 2013. This one is a Mulligan!
Carl O. Erickson (1920-2001) was an avid golfer whose love for the game started when, as a teenager he hitchhiked or biked from his home in South Minneapolis to caddy at the Edina Country Club. After retiring in the early 1980's from a career as a civilian aircraft mechanic for the Air Force and a Master Sgt. in the Air Force Reserves, he spent many days golfing at the Hiawatha Golf Course. I'm sure that when the sun comes out on a beautiful summer morning, his spirit still walks these links.
