The Long Beach Promenade is a six-block urban redevelopment that began in the planning stages in 2005 and was recently completed. This South Block development was completed in early 2011. One of the purposes of the Promenade was to enhance the experience of pedestrians. This little park is dog friendly and is a nice place for me to go and relax during a break from work. Some may remember a previous cache here called Picture Perfect Promenade (GC2T1NR) that was recently archived. I decided this park needed another cache and fortunately it was just far enough away from another recent cache placed along the Promenade. While you are here, be sure to check out the interesting architecture of the nearby bike station and the nice water art piece in the park.
The cache is visible from the right angle. Please use stealth because this is a high muggle area. The difficulty has been upped due to the likelihood of a muggle or muggles being near you. First Street traffic in that block is limited for buses only so don't get a ticket! Limited metered parking is available along Broadway. There is a paid parking lot next to GZ that can be entered from Long Beach Blvd. I would not recommend visiting this cache by yourself late at night. Bring your own pen. There is a $1 bill for the FTF. Happy Caching!
Congratulations to Igooooor for being the FTF!!
