1st Annual Cookies and Kickball Event Event Cache

This cache has been archived.

safechrisLaurie: Wasn't too sure how long to leave this one up. But I am pretty sure everyone has logged it that came.

Thanks for a great time at my first event. Looking forward to making it an annual one.

I am already out of cookies! How about you?

Geocache Description:

We used to have Cookie Exchange at my Mom's Club back in Minnesota. I loved them!

Please note that you do not have to bake or play the game to attend this event! The Cookie Exchange and Kickball game are totally optional. It's just a fun way to get together, enjoy each other's company before the holidays, eat some treats, and have some fun. Oh yeah, there are some caches in the area too!

Since I am still recovering from shoulder surgery, I wanted to do something fun for my geocaching family for the holidays that wouldn't be too stressfull in planning or on my shoulder.  So, if we are going to be eating cookies, we might as well burn off those extra calories with a game of kickball.

Here is how it works:

If you want to participate in the cookie exchange, when you log your "will attend" you should also note what type of cookie or treat you will be bringing. Once I have a total number of guests (that are participating), you make 6-8 cookies/person (with a extra handful for sampling) and package them with a recipie card. Depending on the amount of people coming will determine the amount of baking you will have to do. I will be making Pecan Sandies.

If you want to join the kickball game, when you log your "will attend" just let me know if you want to play. That way I know how many players we will have.

Event will last from 3-5 PM at the Wesley Chapel District Park. There are restrooms available and a playground for the kids. We will be meeting under one of the covered shelters. Since they are on a first come/first serve basis, I won't know which one until I get there to set up.

I know December can be a crazy month for a lot of you, so if you cannot make it, I understand.

Be safe this holiday season and I hope to see you soon!
