I discovered the Church Micro series whilst in Jersey (there are lots of churches) so we decided to add one more locally! The 6th Church Micro Day is 7 Nov 2013.

Tullibody Old Kirk is a ruined 12th-century church in Tullibody. It was rebuilt in the 16th century, and restored again in 1760. The roofless building is protected as a Category A listed building, and a Scheduled Ancient Monument. In 1904, St Serf's Parish Church was built to the north of the Old Kirk. The church measures 19 by 6.7 metres (62 by 22.0 ft). The bellcote on the western gable dates from 1772, while the western windows and the south porch are 19th-century additions. Two doorways survive from the 16th century, including one dated 1539. In January 1560, William Kirkcaldy of Grange demolished part of nearby Tullibody bridge (across the river Devon) to delay French troops returning to Stirling Castle. The French commander Henri Cleutin took down the roof of the Auld Kirk to repair the bridge, hence the raising of the roof. The opening times for the church grounds are 8am - 6pm on weekdays and 9am - 6pm on weekends.  You cannot access the cache outwith these times.
