Rev up your holiday spirit by attending Alaska's Ninth Annual Holiday GeoFest featuring caching fellowship, a pizza party, desset contest, games, and door prizes. The 2014 GeocacheAlaska!, Inc., Board of Directors will be introduced and the full GeocacheAlaska! store including the 2014 calendars, 2013 geocoins and pathtags, TrekTags, License Tags, Nomads and other bling will be available, so you can take care of some of your Christmas shopping needs.
The room seats 120 theater style or 72 with tables, so RSVP early (by December 10) so we can provide chairs for everyone and have enough food to go around. 
The meal will feature a variety of pizzas and green salad. Meal tickets are $5 for GeocacheAlaska! premium members (one meal per membership), $5 for one premium member guest, $10 for non-premium members, and $5 for children under 12. Credit cards, PayPal, cash or check will be accepted at the door. Also, you can beat the line by prepaying for your meal(s) and select bling items by clicking here.
The dress code is "Alaskan casual," so wear your favorite holiday threads and bring your reindeer antlers.
One of the highlights of the evening will be a dessert contest. Please bring your favorite homemade dessert and vie for geobling. Desserts being entered in the contest must be checked in by 6:15 and judging will begin at 6:20. Prize categories are 1) pies and cobblers; 2) cakes and cupcakes; 3) other (cookies, bars, etc.). The judges will score appearance/presentation (10 points), taste/flavor (20 points), and geocaching creativity (5 points). First and second prize will be awarded in each category and an overall people's choice prize will be awarded.
There will be games and prizes for all ages, including the ever popular GEO-BINGO, which is a fun ice breaker. A streamlined Chinese gift exchange will be held, so bring a wrapped inexpensive (under $10) cache swag item or cache container to increase your fun. Of course, junior cachers are welcome since these are games the whole family can play! What better way to kick off the holiday season?
