A 12 oz. wide mouth jar placed 3 or 4 steps from the edge of the sand in Honey Bee Canyon's sand wash bed. The way is gentle but the loose sand underfoot boosts the terrain rating.
Honey Bee Canyon is a natural area nestled between residential developments. It serves to collect water during rains and as a wildlife corridor but primarily it is a lovely desert setting for hiking and exercising dogs. It is very vulnerable to degradation but this cache is located in such a way that no bank climbing, rock climbing, or bushwacking is required. It is easy to practice "leave no trace" of your having been there.
Snake country. Always look before you step or reach.
