It serves to collect water during rains and as a wildlife corridor but primarily it is a lovely desert setting for hiking and exercising dogs. It is very vulnerable to degradation but this cache is located in such a way that no rock climbing or bushwacking is required. It is easy to practice "leave no trace" of your having been there.
