Geocache Description:

This cache is being placed in honor of GC4PGQD.

On November 6th 2013, American astronaut Rick Mastracchio will be heading up to the International Space Station with a Travel Bug in tow.  He plans to use the Travel Bug as a tool to teach students on Earth, in his home state of Connecticut, about geography and science. He’ll also earn the Solar System’s most elusive smiley and find the International Space Station geocache. On November 6th, geocachers around the world will be gathering at events to celebrate the second Travel Bug being launched into space. We're placing this cache in honor of those events around the world.

This cache is located near the Denny Street entrance of the Pacific Science Center. It was placed with permission of the Pacific Science Center.
