In Historic Downtown Upper Lake, check out the local Fire Station. St 90 is open to the public from 8 am to 5 pm M - F. The original building, built in 1948, still contains the first fire apparatus owned by the Upper Lake Volunteer Fire Fighters Association. This is one of the oldest pieces of firefighting equipment that is still functional in Northern California. Come learn about "Sonoma 2" Upper Lakes hand pumper. Please obey all signage at this location. St 90 Staff knows about this cache, YOU ARE BEING WATCHED. Do not park in the "Fire Department only" parking lot. Instead use the parking available on the street. Be gentle!!, no need to dig, pry, scrape, pull or spread. Cache is in plain view. Watch out for muggles on the nearby street.
