Spent the late afternoon heading up the Ruakokopatuna valley and replacing some of Skindo's caches and admiring the splendour of the scenery. I always have a few pill-bottles in the car, and log sheets. To mark the day, thought a cache on Clay Creek Rd would be an appropriate reminder. After dusk by the time I got down here and went to turn around at the end of the road. By large and heavy 2WD German cachermobile did not like the recent rain and got badly stuck. Thankfully the farmer had a 4WD Ute and a snig chain to pull me out of the sticky stuff. Now I know why it is called Clay Creek!
