Tjernet i Katthola var fram til 1960-tallet drikkevannskilde for Kviltorp. Det ble da drenert og gjort om til friområde.
Kviltorp velforening har her med stor dugnadsinnsats fått til et veldig bra nærmiljøanlegg. Her kan du spille sandvolleyball eller fotball om sommeren og gå på ski eller skøyter om vinteren.
Videre forbi lysløypa har de laget en informativ og spennende natursti. Vel tilbake kan du nyte medbrakt mat på en av de flotte benkene de har satt ut.
