The Hunt For Red October Traditional Cache

You are looking for a small container. 

Not many people from around here are aware that the canal was used to hide a submarine during the cold war.

 It is alleged that the CIA, captured a Typhoon Class russian submarine the Red October,and  needed to bring it as far inland as it could to hide it from the satellites that were scouring the globe in search of it. In order to mask it's nuclear signature Augusta was chosen due to it's close proximity to SRS and Vogtle. It was mostly dismantled in trying to unlock it's secrets and left scuttled in the canal, SUBMERGED until a few years ago, when the canal was closed for "dredging". This was really a ploy to hide the final clean-up of what was left of the Red October.

Who knows, if you look carefully enough you just might find a piece of the October still in the canal.
