Geocache Description:

The North Ryde Skyline Drive-In Theatre in North Ryde opened in 1956. It had a capacity of 639 cars and was located on the southern corner Lane Cove and Waterloo Roads (the site of a former orange orchard).

The Skyline was a fully equipped drive-in with a long winding driveway that led to a holding area where the audience for the next session would wait for the previous session to conclude. It rivalled the nearby Khartoum Shack (GC4R0QB) and later shut down on February 5th, 1986 to make way for commercial development. The cache is located at its former main gate on Lane Cove Road.
