Geocache Description:

Would like to use that Letterbox to celebrate my 1 year geocaching life.

About that cache:

Shing Mun River, the landmark of Shatin, it extends through a 7 km long, 200 m wide artificial channel in the middle of the area to flow into Tolo Harbour.
There are cycling tracks along each side, with scenic view, it is excellent for bike caching.
After 1 year of geocaching, I would like to contribute back to the geocaching community, and try something new.
How about mix up everything???
River + bike + caching + letterbox hybrid = this one
To make it even more special, there are 2 stamps inside the cache

Pre-inked stamp

At the stamp, you will find CO and his beloved bike, hope you like it.

Seal wax stamp

With "modern", as well as "vintage", the other stamp is a seal wax one, you will find the GC code on it.

As seal wax require melting, so please bring a box of matches or lighter with you.
Also, please kindly read all the instruction on seal wax before go, the initial available wax in cache is only enough for 10 cachers. I will refill it regularly and try to entertain all cachers. If you find wax are running out, you are always welcome to remind me by a private message or a note on cache page.

Instruction on seal wax
Step 1: Light up the candle (bring your own lighter or matches)


Step 2: Put 1 piece of wax into the spoon, 1 piece is more than enough


Step 3: Melt the wax completely, if you see bubbles on wax, that imply “over-melt”, use the toothpick to remove those bubbles


Step 4: Pour out melted wax onto a cardboard, try to make wax in round shape


Step 5: Put down the stamp on wax, hold it for 5-10 sec (depends on temperature on that day)


Step 6: Pull up the stamp slowly


Step 7: Then you should see the GC code clearly on wax

Notes:
1. As it involves "fire", always do it with adult, and extinguish the matches and candle before go, safety always come first
2. If you find any wax remain on the spoon, don't worry, just leave it there, it is perfectly ok.
3. You are always welcome to donate for the cost of wax, buy me a meal next time
