From where we live, driving to St. Albans has been a total pain the past few months. I'm very excited that the St. Albans/Nitro bridge will be completed in just a few days and we can get to St. Albans again in half the time. However, to remind me in the future to appreciate the replaced bridge, I have hidden a cache along the alternate route that we have had to take for the past year.
Cache is almost directly down the hill from the northern-most edge of the gravel pull-off. Cache is between a quarter and a third of the way down the hill. Hill is fairly steep. If you fall and slide the whole way down the hill, you will end up in the river, so please be careful or bring a spare pair of clothes with you. I didn't have much trouble on the hill but I also didn't let the kids come down with me. Cache is hanging in a small tree. Look for a tiny spec of blue from the container lid or the black string.
CONGRATULATIONS to SIRDAVE on the FTF!
