Uzwiler 11/2013 Cache / Kreiselserie Nr.1 Traditional Cache

Ab dem 1. November 2013 wird ein Jahr lang jeden Monat ein Cache in der Gemeinde Uzwil gelegt. Es werden tendenziell familienfreundliche, Grössere, gut zugängliche und informative "Traditional Caches", "Multi-Caches", Mystery-Caches" und Bonus-Caches" versteckt. Auch kleinere Überraschungen dürfen nicht fehlen!

Wir platzieren vier verschiedene Caches über die Kreisel in Uzwil. Dazu wird dann ein Bonus-Cache gesetzt. Um diesen Bonus-Cache zu finden brauchst Du sämtliche Codes die in jedem der vier Caches zu finden sind. Notiere sie also, wenn Du den Bonus Cache heben möchtest.

Auf Kreiseln gibt es landauf, landab nichts, was es nicht gibt. Uzwils Kreisel werden nach einem einheitlichen Konzept gestaltet. Die Grunderscheinung im Kreiselauge ist identisch. Farben und Materialien wechseln, stellen den Bezug zur Umgebung her. Und jeder Kreisel hat einen Namen. Fabriken, Coop und Lindenplatz – drei Kreisel nach diesem Konzept folgen auf kurzer Distanz.

Roher Stahl ist Ausgangsprodukt vieler Produkte der Uzwiler Technologiekonzerne. Der Kreisel „Fabriken“ nimmt diesen Gedanken auf. Vom Ausgangsmaterial zum veredelten Produkt: Roher Stahl und glänzender Chromstahl. Mitten im Werkplatz Uzwil. Uzwil ist einer der bedeutendsten Technologiestandorte der Ostschweiz. Die Unternehmen sind global tätig, ihre Produkte gehen in die ganze Welt. Und sie bieten lokal 4‘000 Arbeitsplätze, Ausbildungsplätze, Verdienst, Arbeit fürs Gewerbe, sind „Brotkorb“ einer grossen Region.

Tief unter dem Boden führt in der Nähe der Hochwasser-Entlastungsstollen der Uze, des Uzwiler Dorfbaches, durch. Fertiggestellt wurde er 2008. Er schützt auch die Uzwiler Industrien vor Hochwas­ser. Beim letzten grossen Hochwasser 1970 standen auch sie unter Wasser.

Beginning 1 November 2013, one cache will be placed somewhere in the town of Uzwil each month for the duration of one year. Various caches will be hidden, particularly familyfriendly, larger and easy-to-find, informative traditional, mystery, bonus and multi-caches. You might even find an extra surprise!.

Four different caches will be placed within the roundabouts in Uzwil in addition to a special bonus cache. To find the bonus cache, you need to collect all of the codes that are found in each of the four caches. So make sure to note down each of these codes if you want to find the bonus cache.

Within roundabouts throughout Switzerland, you can see all sorts of different things. The roundabouts in Uzwil have all been designed with a certain unity. The basic appearance in the middle is identical. Colors and materials change relating to the surrounding area.

Each roundabout has its own name. The Fabriken (factories), Coop (name of a supermarket) and Lindenplatz (Linden square)are three examples, one after the other, within a short distance.

Raw steel is the base material for many technological companies in Uzwil. This was incorporated into the design of the roundabout Fabriken, meaning factories. From the base material to the finished product - rawand polished steel, surrounded by Uzwil's industrial area.  Uzwil is one of the most important technological locations in eastern Switzerland. The companies operate on a global scale, exporting products worldwide. They also provide 4000 local opportunities for employment, as well as training positions and labour for surrounding businesses, making them an important asset for the livelihood of a giant community.

Nearby is an underground spillway tunnel for the Uze, the town's main waterway, which protects the Uzwiler factories against flooding. It was completed in 2008 to protect the Uzwiler factories against flooding. The factories were affected by the last major flood in 1970.
