Om deze microcache te bereiken loop je langs het Voedingskanaal van Bosscherveld. Nadat je de cache gelogd hebt kun je het wandelpad verder lopen en kom je op een plateau terecht met een mooi uitzicht op de maas. Hier vindt je de voorziening om te voorkomen dat de woonwijk onder water kan komen te staan

De Voeding is a short connecting passage in Maastricht between the river Maas and the beginning of the Zud Willemsvaart that cuts residential Boschpoort. The canal flows into the river De Maas near the Paper manufacturer Sappi and on the other side (via a culvert under the Boscherweg ) the Zuid Willemsvaart just north of the church of Boschpoort . The canal was built to provide the Zuid Willemsvaart with enough water The channel is not accessible for regular shipping . On the side of the river is a provision which can be closed the channel to prevent parts of the residential area will be flooded. Thus at high water De Voeding divides the district into two .
