Walking on the canal is fun in all seasons and under almost all weather conditions. A and I have walked here in the summer (when it is sometimes too hot) and in the winter (snow on the ground is fun--sometimes one can snowshoe), in fall (lovely color to the leaves) and in spring (excellent wildflowers). Caching adds to the fun--so we added some more caches.
Please don't park on the road adjacent to this area of the canal and grampa does need a walk--or if he prefers, he could cycle. Mostly he should enjoy. So please park in one of the parking places near the canal in Spencerport or in Adam's Basin.
Please do this cache during daylight hours. The canal towpath is officially open from dawn to dusk.
