We've made this cache to mark the recent Auckland Mega 2013 and to thank the small, hardworking group who made it so successful. Rosmar, Funky Monkey Zone and our own Cats and Dragons, along with others, put in such a huge amount of work and I want them to know how much it was appreciated.
The cache was made originally from various items acquired at Mega, including the logbook made from the great waterproof paper off cuts. The cache container was our prize in the Rescue Helicopter fundraiser game MEGAnopoly, which I read as Megan-opoly and thought was a touching tribute to the volunteer muggle who worked so hard all weekend.
This is now the third incarnation of this cache, so all that has gone and the cache is smaller than the original, but still contains a nod to the cache theme.
There is plenty of parking at GZ, but there will be times when it won't be appropriate to search for this cache. If there are muggles around, a bit of CITO will stop them wondering what you are doing, although they may wonder why.
