One in a series of eight "keep your feet on the trail" caches along the Santa Lucia Trail in Arroyo Seco Recreation Area. Combining this series with those hidden along the Arroyo Seco-Indians Road makes for a less-than-half-day hiking/geocaching outing.
After an initial uphill, the trail begins to level out at this higher elevation. From this spot, you will have a wonderful view of a fabulous swimming hole in the Arroyo Seco River. No diving until you're closer to the water!
The container is a 35mm hidden on the uphill side of the trail. Obtaining accurate coordinates was often difficult due to the nearby hills. Remember to keep your feet on the trail when grabbing the cache!
Day use fees are $10.00 and parking is available in the Gorge lot.
