Please pick up trash along the way. This park relies on volunteers to keep the area clean and there is only one employee so as outdoor lovers, we should do our best to make sure this beautiful area stays neat and clean. The following information is for the actual Murray's Mill. The grounds can be visited any day. Hours of Operation: Saturday 9am to 5pm Sunday 1pm to 5pm Murray's Mill can be booked for guided tours during the off season or during the week by calling 828.465.0383 (this courtesy is reserved for groups of 10 or more) The Mill is closed from December through Mid March. Admission: $5.00 per person self-guided $6.00 per person guided (when available) Even though there is no "closing time" posted for the grounds trails, the locals will not appreciate someone making a night run so please operate during daylight hours. I was told by management they will call the authorities on people arriving during the night. (This cache was placed was placed with permission of park staff). A nugget of local knowledge: Junior Johnson (the race car driver) would get his corn for mash from here to make his famous moonshine.
