Allen pool RSPB has a great walk over to the old smelting chimney, heals brow.
This was an interesting cache deploy. Walking over to the old smelt mill chimney we deposited one cache close to the car park. As we walked over the marsh path we had a super storm. Middle of the marsh, big flashes, booming thunder, amazing experience. We love the walks round here & our static caravan closeby. The cache is for the kids, log book & a few starter goodies inside. Out of the car park & over a little brook type waterway to the gate & the start of the walk.
If traveling in by car, please be aware, that the drive in contains substantial pot holes, drive carefully and slowly up to the car park area.
