Leora and Uri's Birthday cache Traditional Cache

המטמון הזה הוחבא כחלק מהפיקניק&טיול שעשינו כדי לחגוג לחברינו ליאורה ואוריאת יום הולדתם

This cache was hidden as part of the Birthday hike&picnic we did to celebrate our friends Leora and Uri (S.muffin)  birthday. 

המטמון הוחבא בנקודת המפגש שלנו לפני שיצאנו למסלול הליכה יפיפה של 3 ק"מ, שאחריו עשינו פיקניק בו אכלנו המון, שתינו המון וישנו לא מעט כדי שנוכל לחזור ולנהוג. אנחנו קיבלנו רק טעימה של הפארק מכוון שיש לו כל כך הרבה יותר דברים להציע.

פארק בריטניה

פארק בריטניה שוכן בלבה של שפלת יהודה. זהו חבל ארץ שכולו נופים מרהיבים של גבעות עטורות ביערות נטועים, בחורשים טבעיים ובאתרי עבר מרתקים. אין פלא שמרחבי הפארק, המשתרעים על פני כ-40,000 דונם, מושכים אליהם מטיילים ונופשים רבים המבקשים לבלות בחיק הטבע. קק"ל פיתחה את הפארק ואתריו בסיוע תרומתה של יהדות בריטניה לשיפור איכות החיים בישראל ולחיזוק הקשר בין ישראל והעם היהודי.

        אתרים מיוחדים בפארק: תל עזקה, חורבת שקלון, מצפה משואה, תל גודד, עיי כידון.

         אתרים נוספים בסביבה: פארק עדולם-צרפת, יער חרובית, יער צרעה (הנשיא), גן לאומי בית גוברין, יער המלאכים, גן לאומי תל לכיש.

        איך להגיע? 

דרכי הגישה העיקריות לפארק הן:

שער כניסה צפוני - כניסה מכביש 383, ליד סימן ק"מ 17, כ-1.4 ק"מ ממערב לצומת תל עזקה.

חניון שריגים - כניסה מכביש 353,

מצפה משואה - כניסה מכביש 38, ליד סימן ק"מ 7, כחצי ק"מ מדרום לצומת שריגים.

כניסה דרומית לדרך הנוף - כ-900 מטר מצפון לתחנת הדלק בית גוברין (כביש 35), בכביש הפנימי המוליך לבית ניר.

We want to do a nice 3 Km hike(The wells and cisterns trail )in the park, and then eat a lot and drink a lot and well sleep so we can drive home. But you can do so many things in this area.

About the Park:

British Park((פארק בריטניה extends over some 40,000 dunam (approx 10,000 acres) of the Judean Plain, including planted forest, natural woodland, archeological sites, landscapes and a variety of flora, and it is in the forefront of the ecological struggle to conserve open spaces in central Israel. With the help of its Friends in Britain, KKL-JNF has landscaped the park with footpaths, scenic routes, hiking trails, scenic lookouts and areas for recreational activities. Its archeological sites have been made accessible and have been incorporated into the other routes and amenities. 
 

• Special sites in the park: Tel Azeka, Hurvat Shikalon, Mitzpe Masua, Tel Goded, the Luzit Caves, `Iyye Kidon (“Kidon Ruins”). 

• Facilities: Lookout, Marked path, Archeological or Historic site.

• Additional sites in the area: The Adullam Caves Park, Hurvat Atari (“The Atari Ruins”), the President’s Forest / Tzora Forest, Beit Guvrin National Park, Beit Jamal Monastery.

• How to get there: British Park has a number of entrances:

1. The north gate is about a kilometer to the west of the Azeka Junction (Route no. 383). 
2. Via Mitzpe Masua (Route no. 38, adjacent to kilometer marker no. 7). 
3. From the park’s Scenic Route, which crosses the Srigim-Agur road (Route no. 353), adjacent to kilometer marker no. 23. 
4. From opposite the entrance to Moshav Nehusha (Route no. 38) a dirt track ascends to Hurvat Tzura. 
5. From west of Kibbutz Beit Guvrin, near the sheikh’s tomb – the road that links Route no. 35 to Route no. 353.
