Geocache Description:

A short hike through the Mill Trail property in Stowe.

Earlier this week, I was walking along the Mill Trail a little beyond my Old Blacksmith Shop cache (GC28DN2). I had a new container in hand and was hoping to hide it here. I spotted what would be a nice hiding place. I went over there, started to look around, and found a nicely stashed glass jar. Out of curiousity, I opened it up and looked at the note inside.  The note listed it as a geocache, "Summer Love", hidden on 8/28/2012. It was signed by only two people, who I assumed were the hiders/beta testers, and contained a few small trinkets. When I got home, I looked up the names of the people, and couldn't find them anywhere in the geocaching.com database. I decided this needed to be made official. I replaced the jar with a more durable container, fearing that the jar might break, and was able to include the swag which was already there.

The cache is now a small lock & lock, and is about a quarter mile walk from the parking area. The land is owned and managed by the Stowe Land Trust. If you continue on the trail, you will arrive at Bingham Falls on the east side of the brook.
