Geocache Description:


Located 2 miles (3 km) north of the settlement of Coulter in South Lanarkshire, the Coulter Motte Hill is the site of an early mediaeval castle mound which dated from the 11th Century.

An example of a Norman castle mound it would have been surrounded by a moat and have a timber tower.

Note that the cache is not located within the boundaries of the 'Hill'
