Geocache Description:

This cache is located right on the beach in the center of Shady Island (Steveston Island).

Shady island is located in Richmond just off historic Steveston. While it can be reached at low tide by foot it is best to have a boat as day trippers have been stranded in the past after misjudging the tides. If you get the chance to come for this cache on as nice a day as I placed it, and by boat, you will enjoy some nice beaches, some incredible scenery (including eagles, herons, seals and the remains of old boats and other structures) and some great caching. Congrats on the shared FTF: Roman!, Adroit Seeker, Ozzie and the Boys , Rain Willowsnap and an 'ahem' placement FTF to CK5!
