Pilleth and St Mary's church are surrounded by the history of the battle of Pilleth dating back to 1402. The views accross the valley towards Whitton and Presteigne are stunning, especially on a sunny day. I regularly visit the church with my camera, whatever the season, the photo opportunities are endless.
My two children and I hid our cache together , making it perfect for everyone to find and enjoy. We added a trackable into our cache, the children love finding trackables in other boxes.
I have gained permission from the Church Warden to hide a cache on the church grounds. Please visit the cache and inside the beautiful old church to sign the visitors book. Enjoy the views and the history, but please respect that the church is still used for all kinds of services and may be in use when you visit. Smart phones can be used but my iphone was saying I still had 5 metres to go. They will take you roughly to the area but you will have to have a good look around to find the cache using your phone app.
