Grampa Needs a Walk 13 Traditional Cache

Whew! By the time we got to put out this cache, it was already  late afternoon. It was a mite chillier than before--and we had run out of cache containers. Time to turn around and walk back to the car and go home. And Grampa wasn't even tired.

Again--best parking is on the south side of the canal at Adams Basin. Please do this cache during daylight hours--not only because of the posted regulations but because there are people who would appreciate nighttime privacy.

There are some very nice houses near the towpath in this area, but we did manage to find a "legal" place to put out our cache. Afterwards, we met some of the local people who live nearby. The ones we talked to were friendly and highly knowledgeable about the wildlife on and near the canal. So watch for otters, bald eagles and, of course, blue herons and wide variety of ducks--not to speak of the Canada geese.
