Die Nichte der Goldenen Adele

Ihre Tante Adele Bloch-Bauer, die Goldene Adele, wurde weltberühmt durch die beiden Klimt Portraits aus seiner goldenen Phase. Bettina Bauer-Ehrlich wurde 1903 in Wien geboren. Sie besuchte die Wiener Kunstgewerbeschule und arbeitete als Malerin, Textildesignerin und Illustratorin von Kinderbüchern. Ihr Atelier war hier im Haus Taubstummengasse 13. 1938 musste sie vor den Nazis nach London fliehen, wo sie insbesondere als Illustratorin von Kinderbüchern arbeitete. Bettina Bauer-Ehrlich starb 1985 in London. Gustav Klimt´s paintings of her aunt, Adele Bloch-Bauer, at the culmination of his golden phase, are well known all over the world. Bettina Bauer-Ehrlich was Born in Vienna 1903. She studied at Wiener Kunstgewerbeschule and worked as painter, textile designer and illustrator of children´s books. Her studio was here at number 13, Taubstummengasse. 1938 she had to flee the Nazis and emigrated to London, where she continued to work as illustrator of children´s books. She died in London 1985.
