Geocache Description:

This is another cache that has you step back and enjoy Beaumont's architecture. With todays society buildings come and go and there are many buildings that once stood that are now gone. This is my way to perserve some of these sights.

When standing at ground zero if you look to the south, the Edson Hotel towers above Beaumont's downtown. The Edson Hotel was built in 1929 and is built in the architectural style neo-classicism and was designed by F.W and D.E. Steinman of Beaumont. It stands 22 stories tall.

To the left of the Edson Hotel stands the Goodhue Building. The Goodhue Building was built in 1926 by Forrest Goodhue and is built in the architectural style Gothic Revival, Romanesque Revival. It is one of the most decorative structures in the area. It stands 11 stories and a penthouse
