The cache is located in downtown Ludington, in a park that played a small role in the town’s history…
In 1948, Robert Neal Sr. purchased Miller’s Dairy in Ludington. The name was changed to the Park Dairy because of the proximity to the city park. In 1954 the dairy quit processing milk and focused solely on ice cream. In 1964 the corporate name was changed to the name it is recognized by today, House of Flavors. The ice cream is made directly behind the restaurant in the manufacturing facility, which produces over 15 million gallons of ice cream per year.
