Wilstone has been settled for many hundreds of years. This Hertfordshire village lies about 3 miles to the northwest of Tring. The village and is surrounded by open farm country. The Aylesbury arm of the Grand Union Canal lies to the north and the 4 Tring Reservoirs to the south.
The church of St. Cross in Wilstone was built in 1877, by Smith and Fincher of Tring, at a cost of £1470. Originally conceived as a Chapel of Ease, it was the first church to be built in the new diocese of St. Albans; previously Hertfordshire had been part of the diocese of Rochester

“If anybody would like to expand to this series please do, I would just ask that you could let Sadexploration know first so he can keep track of the Church numbers and names to avoid duplication.
There is also a Church Micro Stats & Information page found via the Bookmark list”
