Geocache Description:

Inspired by several themed-series on the North Shore, this cache has been hidden by Sentinel staff and is the fourth part of a series based on the Marvel superheroes.

Henry Pym’s first appearance in the Goliath persona was in Avengers #28 (May 1966) but there have been many others whom have adopted the persona for themselves as well, including the Avenger known as Hawkeye.

Dr. Henry 'Hank' Pym decides to become a superhero after discovering a chemical substance, “Pym Particles”, that would allow the user to alter his/her size. After a leave of absence from the supergroup, Pym eventually rejoins the Avengers, adopting the new identity of Goliath. However, a mishap traps Goliath in his massive form for several issues and negatively affects his self-esteem. This emphasizes the fact that the character still is susceptible to a variety of humanistic traits, despite having super abilities. Pym’s costume is synthetic stretch fabric composed of unstable molecules and automatically adapts to his shifting sizes.

This cache is a regular/large camouflaged container filled with fun hero-themed swag and it is located just a step off of the trail (no bushwhacking required). Please replace any camouflage as you found it. There is a small LED flashlight for the FTF.  (No batteries included though! )

Located south of Woodward Park in the smaller Larson Park, the closest access points/trailheads are located at the end of either Tyrol Place or Tyrol Court. Woodward and Larson Parks are dog friendly as they are designated as off-leash parks; however, the bear-proof garbage can that has been located at the parking lot at the end of Camelot Road has mysteriously disappeared so cachers may have to take any trash with them.
