Cache is located in Hungry Mother State Park a short distance from Marion VA on state route 16 on the Clyburn Hollow Trail not too far off the Clyburn Ridge Loop.

You won’t find any sand at this cache site but you will find some nuts from the American Beech trees in this area. Well if the squirrels, deer, bear, wild turkey, chip monks and other nut loving forest dwellers haven’t cleaned up the nut crop you might get a few. The container is a hard plastic tennis ball holder and can take swag and travel bugs. Pay close attention on how the cache is placed so you can replace it the same way as found.

Note: In all Virginia state parks you have to have permission to hide a geocache. Stop by the Headquarters building in the park and ask to talk to the official in charge of reviewing the Geocache Placement Application you will have to obtain from them. Let them be aware of your desire to hide and maintain a geocache in the park. Most parks may ask you to “not” make the cache for Premium members to allow the general plumbic the opportunity hunt while visiting the park. All my caches have been placed by permission at Hungry Mother State Park.
