Geocache Description:

This cache is located in the abandonned Brocklebank Cemetery now maintained by the Municipality of Brockton. The best parking is on the east-west concession road. Take a few minutes to wander among the trees and study the old grave markers. Please act respectfully.

Three  Brocklebank brothers secured land from the Crown in this area in 1853. The Brocklebank Methodist frame Church was built in 1869 largely as a result of the three brothers, James, Richard and William Brocklebank. James was an active local politician including being Warden of Bruce County from 1864 - 1868. The Church closed in 1907 and is now a private residence on the edge of the cemetery.
