Geocache Description:

I placed this and "El Capullo de la Mariposa" up here because of the fantastic views and the scenery around Roque Mulato. There is already a cache at the Rock itself, and when I visited this today the last one before me was in mars 2012. That is just a shame because it is just an amazing spot on the island.

When you enter Barranco de Siberio and faces the enormous cathedrals of nature itself accompanied by a panoramic view of Spains highest mountain and the spectacular shaped Roque Mulato in the west, you feel like something insignificantly small and powerless. And as you walk along and see traces of numerous waterfalls in the steep walls...yes, you just wished it rained yesterday. The impressions on your soul are many and it makes this walk unforgettable.

To get to this cache you will need plenty of time, water and food. You can not be afraid of long walks with some steep paths. At some points the paths crosses real steep terrain, but as long as you take your time and be careful it is never dangerous. It is of course easier if you turn the list of Trailheads upside down and start from Casas Forestal de Pajonales and return back the same way. The steepest terrain is within Barranco de Siberio. Anyway, 4-6 hours is needed.

Take Care and Enjoy.

Nature and its inhabitants might be delicate and vulnerable for changes made by fires, floods and other unforeseen events. In the matter of restrictions set to any area made after the cache was placed please follow the guidelines enforced by these restrictions. By doing this we all help nature recover after for example a fire. Thanks.
