Obsolete Technology: Rotary Telephone

A rotary dial telephone uses a finger wheel that is rotated with one finger from the position of each digit to a fixed stop position. Almon Brown Strowger invented the telephone dial in 1891.
The commonly known appearance of the rotary dial with finger holes was first introduced in 1904 but did not enter service in the Bell System in the United States until 1919.
The rotary dial has gradually been replaced by dual-tone multi-frequency push-button dialing, first introduced to the public in 1962.
Questions for geocachers:
Have you ever used a rotary dial telephone? Do you still have a rotary dial telephone in your house? (I do not, but my parents still do!! Some of the younger cachers probably have never even seen a rotary dial telephone!)
