Geocache Description:

A fairly short multi with a couple of waypoints and maybe a 15 minute walk in the local forest.

The Devils River Series is a developing series of caches along the Delatite River. Originally named Devils River, the Delatite River headwaters start between Mount Buller and Mount Sterling and it empties into Lake Eildon. With many good spots for fishing there is also good kayaking in the spring and swimming holes in the summer.

Forest camp was established about 50 years ago to house the workers that planted the pines in the Deletite Arm of Lake Eildon. These workers stayed in the camp all week and returned home each weekend.

They planted 3.2 million Pine Trees on 2000 hectares in ten years. They are still being harvested today and for how long into the future; who knows?

To find WP2 use the equation:

A = the number of cows

B = the number of sheep

C = the number of geoyaks

D = the number of horsemen

WP2 = S37° 09.(A+C+D)(A)(A+B-C) E146° 04.(A+B+C+D)(B)(B-D)

At WP2 find:

E = letters in 2nd word 2nd line

WP3 = S37° 09.(B+E)(A+E-D)(A+B) E146° 05.(E-B)(D+E)(B+E-C)

At WP3 find:

F = letters in 1st word 2nd line

WP4 = S37° 09.(F+C)(A+B)(B+E) E146° 05.(D)(F-A-C)(C+D)

At WP4 what can you see?

If a Windmill then G = 5

If a Water Tank then G = 7

If a Haystack then G = 9

GZ = S37° 09.(G-D)(E+F)(C+G) E146° 04.(G+F-E)(A-B)(A+F)
