Swimming Lessons Traditional Cache

A hike up into the mountain in the Voelklip area of Hermanus. The path is dog friendly, but there are steep climbs on the path too. The path will take you up to a large dam. This is the first one of three. By following the path past the dam, you can visit the two higher dams as well. The path gets worse, with a lot of loose stones on the path, be careful not to slip.

The area is known as the 3 dams to the locals, and visited daily by both the elderly and youth alike. As teenagers, both myself and P!x!e spent many long summer days in the dam. To my surprise we never met up there. Only years later when we started talking about our younger years did we find out, we hung out at the same spot .

This give us a perfect opportunity to return to a childhood spot and share it with the rest of the world. I hope everyone enjoys it as much as we do!.
