Geocache Description:

No need to cross the fence line.

Elton John has been going strong for nearly 50 years. Born Reginald Kenneth Dwight in 1947, he changed his name to Elton Hercules John and flew to stardom. He was somewhat flamboyant in his younger years, but he has settled down and was even knighted in 1998. He was inducted into the Rock and Roll hall of fame in 1994. He co-wrote most of his songs with Bernie Taupin. He has had at least one Billboard top 40 song every year between 1970 and 1990. This series of caches highlights some of his hits.

 Someone Saved My Life Tonight

Released 1975 - from the "Captain Fantastic and the Brown Dirt Cowboy" album, which went to #1 on the album charts the first week it was released. It reached #4 on the Billboard Hot 100.  Certified Gold in 1975.  Some radio stations refused to play or altered the song, due to the use of the phrase "Damn it" in the second verse.
