Geocache Description:

Welcome to the Trefforest Trekker!

A journey which takes you through a pleasant 3 mile walk over the hills above Trefforest, over to Church Village, Tonteg and back. Expect some great views across the valleys as you endeavor to tackle a selection of interesting Geocaches!

The Series:

Terrain varies from concrete roads, sometimes muddy country paths, fields and pavements. There are some steep hills along the way. Please see Difficulty/Terrain ratings for each cache. If you are doing the whole series the trek should take around 1 to 2 hours to complete depending on your pace.

All these caches can be done as standalone or in order. We suggest you start at number 1 but it's up to you. We hope you enjoy the trail!

Location:

The part of this series can be muddy so waterproof footwear is advised! Cache is on the side of the hill on a steepish incline a little distance off the path.

Directions:

Approaching anticlockwise: From final of 'Our Thoughts, Go Out' follow path down to the bottom road then follow around and head up the hill until you reach a public footpath sign and gate. The hill is steep!
Approaching clockwise: Follow the footpath down the hill from 'Branching Out'. Path can be either dry, muddy in places or muddy.
