Geocache Description:

This is an addition to the series of caches I placed on a circular walk around Spence Moor and Goldshaw Booth.

There is no particular order in the series and they can be linked to nearby caches. My advice is to complete in an anticlockwise direction as the views on the return across Pendle and towards the coast are splendid

Interestingly, the name 'Badger Wells' has little to do with burrowing animals, more likely referring to a species of roaming trader of the tinker variety. Certainly the area doesn't look good Brock country.

The stream has carved an impressive gorge through a deposit of soft micaceous shale ~ this rock has played a big part in the development of the streams in this area.

The cache is a small loctop box within another box.

Good luck.
