Geocache Description:

The cache is on the east side of the watercourse. Adding to the McLeod Series of Geo-caches in the area, all are winter friendly off the ground or hanging in trees. Please be respectful of others using the area, please replace the cache where you found it and secure it so it doesn't fall off. Please pick up a piece of garbage and place it in the garbage can by the parking area. Enjoy the other McLeod Series of Geo-caches in the area, all are winter friendly if not otherwise mentioned.

Look upstream at the natural dam created from fallen tree logs and debris. Although this is a barrier to fish movement upstream, the plunge pool creates great fish habitat. Whenever water flows over something it has a downward pressure of 90 degrees thus creating this plunge pool. The substrate is primarily sand, pebbles and clay which allows for good scouring of the substrate (stream bottom). Take notice of the nature around you. Did you see the Inuksuk on the way in? It is used for navigation as a point of reference, a marking for travel routes. The word Inuksuk means "something which acts for or performs the function of a person".
