A clean dry Berocca tin. Park in the driveway and then your suspicious looking activities will be hidden - unless of course all the local Seascouts are there, then you will need to be sneaky.
This is the home of the local Seascouts - one of 16 groups in SA – so it is only fitting that this old Seascout places a cache here. It is a place where kids can learn all there is to know about boating activities and learn how to respect and love the sea. If you are between 16-23 yrs old you can even learn to sail on a Tall Ship - the Young Endeavour is often berthed near the lighthouse in Pt Adelaide docks if you want to whet your appetite. Just like in any Scout group kids can learn very valuable life skills here while they are learning all about boats, sails, ropes, knots, signal flags bells and watches. Did you know there are 7 watches a day on a ship, and the last 2 are called the Dog watches. Interesting fact: in 1797, if five bells were rung at the Last Dog Watch (1830 hours) it was the signal for the mutiny at the Nore. Since that time, the Admiralty decreed that the five bells (half an hour after the start of the Last Dog Watch) should never again be struck on British vessels. For the full story: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nore_mutiny The stories can go on and on . . . . . Not much to else to see here, I just wanted to put the spotlight on the Seascouts and what they do. They provide another way to keep the kids out in the open air besides caching, and lets them have some adventures of their own.
