Geocache Description:

Lovely place to explore in the middle of a city

Blackweir bridge is a fantastic place to observe the dramatic flow of the mighty River Taff after a heavy downpour.  It is also the source of the dock feeder (Glamorganshire) canal  that meanders (mostly unbeknown to the good people of Cardiff) underground towards the old docks. The site of the first cache is also the gateway into Bute park arboretum, another special place that changes markedly with the seasons.

Enjoy this place- I am lucky enough to pass through it on my way to and from work everyday.

There is no need to get wet or put yourself in any danger to obtain this cache.
