Welcome to the Ashland Historic Geo-Trail (WTA). The trail is designed not only for Geocachers but muggles alike to enjoy the area around Ashland, Kentucky.
Healthy Choices Kentucky is excited to offer this new Geo-Trail to bring people to discover the rich history of Ashland, Kentucky. The caches are all family friendly, not difficult to find and are designed to be easily accessible. There is also an easy and fun puzzle cache on the newly established Charles & Betty Russell Hiking Trail GC5R1FP
The former Chesapeake & Ohio Railway passenger depot at 11th Street and Carter Avenue was completed in 1925 but abandoned in the 1970's in favor of a downsized depot in Catlettsburg. The rail lines to the building were subsequently removed and the building itself now serves as the downtown Ashland branch of PNC Bank.
