This cache has been archived.

West Texas Reviewer: Cache Owner (CO) has not responded, so the cache is being archived to keep it from continually showing up in search lists, and to prevent it from blocking new cache placements. If you wish to repair/replace this cache sometime in the future (not to exceed 15 days from the date of this entry), just contact me (by e-mail), and assuming it still meets the current Guidelines, I will consider unarchiving this cache.

Please be advised this is not a guarantee that this geocache will be unarchived. Many factors will go into my decision. The most important of which is how you responded to geocachers who tried to communicate with you regarding the problem(s) with this geocache hide and how you communicated with me, the West Texas Reviewer.

Geocache Description:

“The People Rule” - This is the state motto of Arkansas.

This is the first in what I hope to make into a series of caches along Arkansas Ln.  The road is roughly 10 miles long.  Our series at the moment covers roughly a mile and a half of it.  You will not have to stray far from the street to find any of the caches.  Most will be right off of the sidewalk.  The end goal will be to not only give you a nice walk and a nice series of caches from one end to the other, but also to teach you a little bit about the actual state of Arkansas.  TCDChameleons have relatives buried in many quadrants of the state of Arkansas and this series will be dedicated to them.

Number 1 is dedicated to Joel McLain.  Joel was born the son of George Washington McLain and America Daniels (McLain) on March 6, 1867 and died on May 22, 1950. Joel married Josephine B. Shrader McLain and fathered seven children with her.  Unfortunately the only son, Charles died of influenza at the age of 4.  For this reason the McLain Name ended with Joel and Josephine.
