Geocache Description:

The cache is not at the posted coordinates.

A few months ago, my twisted mind came up with an idea for a multi-staged puzzle cache and I started putting it together. As I constructed the various parts, it occurred to me that each of the stages was challenging enough to warrant its own smilie, so I decided to make it a series instead.

The first puzzle is based on celestial navigation, so get out your astrolabe and star finder. Just kidding. Since most people don’t own an astrolabe or star finder, I’ll keep it relatively simple with a little exercise in astronomy.

It is Six O’clock in the evening. Tomorrow, on the very spot that you now stand, Mr. Ulmer will perform his historic act. You turn to face the western sky. Between the sun and the moon you find a heavenly object. This object holds the key.
