Greatland Reviewer: Hello:

This cache page has been archived due to the lack of response to one or more prior Reviewer Note(s) about issue(s) with the cache and because the Cache Owner has not been online since January 2016. If the owner would like to have the cache unarchived, please contact me through my profile as soon as possible before another cache gets placed nearby.

Please note that unarchiving a cache page requires it to go through the same review process as a newly proposed cache, using the cache placement guidelines currently in effect.

Geocache Description:

Lamma Reflections is on the famous Lamma Family walking trail. Sure to provide a great day out for anyone who likes walking but doesn't want to get too far "off the beaten path". Lovely concrete walking trail that is rideable on a bicycle or walkable pushing a stroller. Be sure to allow enough time to finish the whole hike or just a quick hike to the Lamma Winds.

Please log all DNF's.

You need the clues to solve this one.  I'm sticking around at head height.

The hike:

You don’t need to be carrying a crew of kids, parents and siblings to enjoy the Lamma Island Family Trail. Its name merely indicates that this hiking route is an easygoing walk that’s suitable for a family outing. Its highest point is around 100 metres above sea level, and the route is well signposted.
Starting Point
Take a ferry from Central ferry pier 4 to Yung Shue Wan. From Yung Shue Wan Main Street, walk past Lamma Winds and Hung Shing Yeh Beach and you will meet the start of the Family Trail.
The trail takes you along the coast with sweeping views of Hung Shing Yeh Beach, and from the halfway pavilion, past vistas of Lantau Island and Cheung Chau. Shortly after, you’ll pass the sandy beach and fishing rafts of Lo So Shing village. Just beyond this is Kamikaze Cave, where the Japanese forces occupying Hong Kong during the Second World War launched speed boat suicide missions against allied shipping.
End point
The Family Trail comes to an end when you see the rustic buildings and fishing rafts of Sok Kwu Wan Village, where you can restore your energy on Seafood Street – a group of restaurants raised on stilts above the bay, which are popular with weekend day trippers. From here you can catch a ferry back to Central (30 – 40 minutes) or continue along the Ling Kok Shan Hiking Trail.
